If you are looking for a web hosting service, then read on. I want to tell you about Lyrical Host, the company that I use to host my three websites. The internet is littered with complaints about web hosting services, and so when there’s something positive to shout about, I like to share that! This is because Lyrical Host goes above and beyond just being a web hosting service. There’s 10% off with the Turning Dutch link* if you like the sound of Lyrical Host.
For so many moving or living overseas, a good web hosting provider is essential (think travel blogs, online business, journaling, freelancing, teaching or tutoring, app or software development, consulting, content creation or simply iCloud or back up options) – so for people like you.

Why I Love Lyrical Host
Community
Lyrical Host feels like a community. One of like-minded people, putting websites together, page by page. There’s a Facebook group where Lyrical Host customers share ideas, ask questions, get problems solved, get tips and inspiration – and just generally interact and touch base. It’s a pleasant, productive space – low key and focused.
Resources
There is a members only area full of guides, workbooks, prompts, stock photos, images, fonts, checklists and charts on topics relating to blogging and running an online business. Until recently, I had been underusing these resources but am now delving in and learning as I go along, as well as incorporating time saving changes and, most importantly, feeling inspired after a serious work-related slump (thanks to Long Covid, which I have also been kickstarted to write more about in due course).
There’s a monthly newsletter with free stock photos, updates, resources and a celebration of community members, for example.
Challenge
Lyrical Host is currently hosting a challenge for its customers – essentially giving us a kick up the bum to look at our businesses or blogs in a new way, given them a clean up or identify new opportunities. But all in a collaborative, supportive way. I am absolutely loving it.

Pricing
My plan price just increased. HOWEVER, this is the first price hike since 2020!!!!!! You know where you are when it comes to pricing with Lyrical Host – there are no surprise annual rises. SSL certificates, email hosting and daily backs up are all included in the package – so no extras you end up paying for.
There are three different hosting plans (tiny, mighty, boss) and you can choose plans with payment options that are monthly, every six months, annually or every two years (with applicable discounts).
The Web Hosting Itself – My Experience
All of these things are all well and good, I hear you mutter, but what about the actual web hosting? The fact that all the things I have mentioned above comes before anything web hosting related hopefully speaks volumes. I joined Lyrical Host in October 2019, (coming up to my 6th ‘anniversatree’ – trees are planted through trees.org to mark your anniversary) and in that time I have raised 13 helpdesk tickets: domain transfers, WordPress or Google Analytics questions or issues, access to courses…. all little things that were answered and solved promptly. It’s always Joseph on the service desk, but a lot of his working life really isn’t taken up with my issues…..
Simply put, Lyrical Host hosts my websites. Lyrical Host does what it says on the tin. I’m not a techie, and my needs are simple, but I have never had an issue with my hosting.
The Tech Stuff
As I already said, I am not a techie. For information about Lyrical Host’s platforms and technologies, head over to Lyrical Host’s page here.
